Wedding hair clip and ring bearer pillow

I have not had a chance to write a post in so long!  I have been so busy with graduations, sweet sixteens and a wedding.
Congratulations to my childhood friend Sean and his now beautiful wife Nana on their wedding!  They married in the gorgeous Japanese gardens at the Brooklyn Botanical Gardens this past weekend.  It was a perfect day for a wedding, warm, bright and the setting was spectacular.

I had the pleasure of making Nana's hair clip, the ring bearer pillow and flowers for her dress.  Nana's favorite color is orange, so she wanted to incorporate it into her accessories.  I mixed in orange flowers with off white flowers and pearls to her headpiece, the contrast in color and shapes was so nice.

I cut the petals for the flowers and singed the edges for them to curl.  I will post a tutorial on how to make these flowers soon.

Here is my debonair little god son, the ring bearer.  He was so cute, he looked like a little gentleman from the 1940's.  The flower for the pillow was made with off white sheer fabric and orange satin fabric for the pillow.

Beautiful wedding for a beautiful couple!

Thanks for visiting and come back soon to see the tutorial on how to make the flowers.

  1. What a beautiful wedding. Aren't weddings the most special events ever?! The happiness in the air is intoxicating.
